Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification Experience with Epic charting system preferred Must reside at least 100 miles from Kingsport, TN facility First-time travel nurses welcome Ability to float to other nursing units as needed Willingness to support nursing student education and clinical training Fit testing compliance (must meet CDC facial hair guidelines) Completion of required orientation modules (4-5 hours, non-billable) Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit specializing in surgical and bariatric cases Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, manage IVs and surgical drains Provide wound care, telemetry monitoring, and manage feeding tubes and colostomies Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy Float to other units as required to meet patient care needs Support and educate nursing students alongside clinical care duties Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols Benefits
