EP Cath Lab Tech FT Days role at Abrazo Health Responsibilities
Support physicians and clinical staff during electrophysiology procedures by operating fluoroscopy and imaging systems, ensuring accurate image capture, radiation safety, scrubbing, stimulating, and efficient workflow. Perform direct and indirect functions in the Cardiac Cath Lab; assist all physicians and staff with clinical and technical aspects of cardiovascular care; scrub monitors and circulate in all invasive procedures in the Cath lab and IVR; manage inventory; function on all cardiac alerts and STEMI cases. Assess patients before, during, and after procedures; develop an individualized plan of care; provide teaching to patients, families, and staff; execute X-ray views and store/print images; set priorities based on patient needs and resources; assist with emergency patient care solutions. Knowledge of set up and monitoring of IABP; assist with setup, insertion and care of temporary and permanent pacemakers. Education, Licenses, Certifications
Education: Required — Associate degree in Radiology or equivalent; Basic EKG course. Preferred — Bachelor in Radiology or equivalent. Experience: Required — 6 months in Cath Lab/Cardiac Intervention Lab. Preferred — 1 year experience providing cardiac cath, radiology care. Certifications: Required — BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire. Preferred — RCIS certification. Working Hours
06:00-18:30. No on-call assignment after hours, weekends, or holidays. Team members are rotated on short on-call from 18:30-20:30 to finish late cases, if any. Team
Three team members (two RNs and one RT or two RTs and one RN) and an anesthesia provider. Equipment
