What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Provide surgical assistance to veterinarians and researchers, including animal preparation and anesthesia administration
Organize and maintain sanitation of surgical suites
Conduct daily health assessments and enrichment activities for surgical animals
Communicate clinical concerns with veterinarians and investigators as needed
Assist with animal husbandry support as directed
What is Required (Qualifications):
Associate's degree plus 2 years of experience in animal research or a bachelor's degree
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
Ability to perform health assessments and monitor animals during surgical procedures
Experience working with animal care technicians
Commitment to treating others with dignity and respect in a healthcare setting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Licenses, certificates, or registration such as CVT or ALAT
Experience in an animal research setting
