Summary of Job Duties The Research Veterinary Technician (RVT) will work closely with the DLAM veterinarians. This person will provide surgical assistance for UAMS and ACHRI, organize and maintain sanitation of the surgical suites, assist researchers, veterinarians, and veterinary assistants during surgical procedures (including animal prep, anesthesia, animal monitoring, and drug administration), perform daily health assessments and enrichment of surgical animals, communicate concerns with veterinarians and investigators, provide clinical assessment of animals by making regular rounds, and work with animal care technicians to identify clinical issues. The RVT will assist the Assistant Director of Operations and Supervisor with animal husbandry support as needed.

Associates plus 2 years experience in animal research or bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licenses, certificates, or registration: CVT, ALAT.
Special knowledge: worked in an animal research setting.
Salary Information $44,720.00 – $50,000.00
