Part Time Dietitian – Lakewood, CA
Reports to: Director of Food and Nutrition Salary: $40-$50/hr Job Type: Part‑time (20‑24 hours per week, 1 weekend per month) Key Responsibilities: Provides medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient population Follows all guidelines within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual Complies with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, and adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility‑wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs Qualifications: Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, where required One (1) year of hospital experience preferred; internship experience counting toward that timeframe acceptable Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming Other Compensation: Meal plan Phone stipend Continuing Education Units (CEUs) Partial payment of AND and CDR dues Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance / AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Flexible Time Off Paid Parental Leave Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Personal Leave Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Company Overview: Morrison Healthcare is a division of Compass Group USA, serving more than 600 hospitals and healthcare systems nationwide.
