Travel Nurse Job Details
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 - End: 4/13/2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Healthcare Setting: OB/GYN Unit (12 postpartum rooms, 4 swing/antepartum rooms, 5 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, 2 operating rooms)
Schedule: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday); no block scheduling
Call: Required (4-hour mandation block if needed)
Scrubs Provided
EMR: Epic; Medication System: Pysis
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing
Prior OB/GYN nursing experience required
Previous travel nurse experience requiredActive Registered Nurse (RN) license (Connecticut preferred)
Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS (Fetal Monitoring certification preferred)
Experience with high-risk patient populations
Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pysis medication system preferred
L&D Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in a high-risk OB/GYN unit
Manage patient assignments: 1:3 for Labor & Delivery and Antepartum, 1:6 for Mother/Baby couplet
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize advanced clinical equipment including Alaris pumps, epidural pumps, and PAS lower extremity pumps
Participate in nurse orientation and ongoing clinical training
Be available for call shifts and comply with mandatory 4-hour blocks as needed
