Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Float:
Required within skillset (Mom/Baby, postpartum, etc.)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery RN experience
Active compact or Maryland RN license
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM
AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate preferred
Previous charge nurse experience required
Skills: Circulate for C-section, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), preceptor and/or charge, triage experience preferred
Two supervisor references required
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
First-time travel nurses accepted
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver expert nursing care to high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
Assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for C-sections
Monitor and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring
Triage obstetrical patients and respond to emergencies
Float to related units as needed (Mom/Baby, postpartum)
Serve as a preceptor and/or charge nurse
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital policies and procedures
