Nurse Practitioner – Full Time - Infusion Clinic - For our Gallatin & Nashville Location

IVCare Infusion offers outpatient infusion services in a relaxing ambulatory environment. We not only provide specialty infusion services for patients with different chronic conditions but also offer a full range of infusion services including, but not limited to, antibiotics, hydration, vitamins, iron, steroids and other injectable medications. Summary Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering infusion therapy to patients with chronic diseases and acute medical illnesses, as well as to people who need IV hydration and other wellness infusions. The role involves administering IV infusions in accordance with clinical protocols, monitoring patients during the infusion process, maintaining accurate electronic medical records, providing clear patient instructions and education regarding infusion protocols, and creating a positive, relaxing, and professional environment. This position requires the ability to start IVs and to work independently while ensuring patient safety and efficient delivery of care.

Essential Functions

IV placement and administration

Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history; initiate, develop, implement, and oversee infusion plans of treatment; evaluate patient progress toward goals.

Consultation with patients and families

Monitoring patients during infusion and recovery

Respond to emergency situations rapidly and confidently, as needed

Maintain medical records

Assess and document the health status of the patient, including SOAP note documentation

Prepare patients for infusion or injection

Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines

Evaluate and manage direct patient care, develop orders for medication regimens, communicate with referring providers, perform treatments, administer medications, and educate patients and families/caregivers; modify plan of treatment in response to changing patient status or consultation with referring physician.

Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record

Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use

Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies

Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects

Work collaboratively with clinical, marketing, and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care

Periodically engage with referring/prescribing providers and other healthcare professionals to demonstrate our quality of services, including the ability to seamlessly manage referrals and provide personalized care that meets the highest standards for every patient.

Assist with audits and regulatory functions, as needed

Assist with annual staff review process including skill competency assessments

Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and electronic communication

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

Excellent IV skills, including experience with infusion therapy

Initiative, creativity, problem‑solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility in approach

Ability to work independently without direct supervision, and to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver quality patient care

Friendly, professional, and welcoming approach to patient care with exceptional active listening skills to understand patient needs and concerns

Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology

Dedication to improving the quality of patient care through continuous learning and development

Strong leadership skills, self‑confidence, and ability to remain calm under pressure

Pay

Pay:

$105,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school and current board certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of TN

Previous infusion experience preferred but not mandatory.

Infusion nursing non‑oncologic and/or oncologic and/or previous experience in ICU and/or Emergency Room as RN or NP preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum of 1 year APN experience in a clinical setting preferred but not mandatory.

Must also hold a valid BLS/ACLS certification.
