Job Summary
Up to $2,000 sign‑on bonus available! Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Physical Therapist for the hospital rehab department in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This full‑time position is located at the Baptist Beaches site. Expected schedule: Sunday–Wednesday, day shift hours (Monday–Wednesday 7:30 am‑6 pm). The role supports inpatient, acute‑care treatment for patients with neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical diagnoses. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other Baptist campuses in Jacksonville, FL for coverage as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy treatment to patients in an adult acute care, hospital inpatient setting.
Provide patient care to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
Provide minimal outpatient care, primarily for neuro patients and upper‑extremity wounds (job competency training available).
Participate in departmental operations and performance‑improvement activities.
Remain within budget guidelines.
Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements.
Provide ongoing patient and family education.
Education and Experience
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Preferred: Master’s Degree.
1+ years of physical therapy experience, preferably in an acute‑care setting.
Experience with surgical patient care, orthopedics, and neuro patients.
License and Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Licensed Physical Therapist required.
