Compensation & Location Salary: $22.00–$25.00 per hour (based on skills, experience, and qualifications) Remote role with occasional travel; preferred candidates located near Elk Grove, Illinois or Columbus, Ohio offices

Position Summary Acts as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers (HCPs), and the manufacturer’s patient support hub. Ensures a seamless experience for patients starting therapy, managing enrollment, verifying documentation, and explaining financial support options. Provides high‑quality, empathetic support via a dedicated phone line throughout the treatment journey.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Training

High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in patient services, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement support, or a related healthcare field. Preference for pharmacy technician license.

Ability to explain complex insurance or financial information in an accessible, compassionate manner.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high empathy and professionalism.

Proficiency in CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes and insurance benefit structures, including prior authorizations and patient assistance resources.

Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Training

Effective communication and collaboration with manufacturer field teams to support patient access and therapy initiation.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Essential Job Duties

Maintain availability to handle inbound patient and provider calls during operating hours, ensuring timely and empathetic support.

Conduct outbound and inbound calls to support patient onboarding and explain program benefits.

Receive and process hub enrollment forms, verify completeness, and secure required PHI consents, collaborating with HCP offices as needed.

Conduct welcome calls with consented patients to explain the hub benefits and communicate benefits investigation results clearly.

Provide information to commercially insured patients about copay support programs and facilitate enrollment; educate on alternate funding sources when applicable.

Collaborate with reimbursement and pharmacy teams to ensure accurate updates about benefit status and timely initiation of therapy.

Utilize business rules to determine and approve patients for quick‑start or bridge shipments, and assess eligibility for the Patient Assistance Program.
