A specialized opportunity is available for a registered nurse with expertise in infusion nursing, specifically within oncology settings. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care in infusion therapy, including complex gastrointestinal regimens, in a fast-paced academic medical center environment.
Key Qualifications And Experience
Minimum of 2 years oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center
At least 1 year outpatient infusion experience
1+ years as a travel nurse, demonstrating adaptability and diverse clinical exposure
Strong intravenous (IV) skills and thorough patient assessment capabilities
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification is mandatory
Responsibilities
Administer complex infusion therapies safely and efficiently to oncology patients
Perform detailed patient assessments before, during, and after infusion treatments
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care plans
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory standards and protocols
Provide patient education regarding infusion procedures and potential side effects
Schedule
36 hours per week, day and night shifts
Rotating schedule with every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) coverage
