About Liberation Counseling
Our approach integrates an understanding of intersectionality, the impact of societal power structures on mental health, and the complex ways trauma can affect both individuals and relationships. We have therapists specially trained in evidence-based trauma therapies such as EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, DBT, and CBT to help clients process and heal from personal and intergenerational trauma.
Role Description The Clinician will provide individual and group counseling services, collaborate with clients and their support networks to develop personalized treatment plans, document client progress accurately, and maintain case records. The role also involves conducting assessments, participating in team meetings, and staying informed on best practices to deliver high-quality care. This is a full‑time on‑site role located in Tucson, AZ.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal communication skills, active listening, and ability to build rapport with clients.
Experience conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage case records effectively.
Knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic interventions, and evidence‑based practices.
A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or a similar clinical designation in Arizona, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations.
Proficiency in self‑care practices and emotional resilience.
