Physical Therapist
Department: James | Rehabilitation Services Acute Care
Location: James Cancer Hospital (0375)
Responsibilities Physical Therapist Rehabilitation team members are licensed or certified professionals who work within a specific team structure to offer inpatient rehabilitation services. These services are primarily offered at the acute‑care James Cancer Hospital CCCT and will include serving the UH hospital system as assigned. Primary patient populations are CCCT oncology patient sites for patients with disorders associated primarily with oncology such as brain, spinal cord injury, stroke, neurogenic disorders, orthopedic problems, amputations, or chronic pain. Team members assess patients, establish plans of care, provide a wide variety of treatment techniques, offer education and support to patients and families, and facilitate continuing care planning. They evaluate quality of services, participate in outcomes management activities, and collaborate with rehabilitation managers, team leaders, rehab assistants and aides, attending and resident physicians, nurses, support staff, and case managers or patient care resource managers to coordinate services and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Currently licensed in the state of Ohio as a Physical Therapist.
0 years of relevant experience required; 0‑2 years of relevant experience preferred.
