Schedule and Location Full‑time day shift 1000 WATERMAN WAY, TAVARES, FL 32778
Job Description
Attach and complete 12 lead EKG tests and provide strips to the on‑duty physician.
Initiate cardiac monitoring, detect dysrhythmias, and notify assigned nurse or charge nurse of abnormalities.
Perform venipuncture for testing and insert peripheral IVs, hang IV fluid without medication, and maintain prescribed IV flow rates.
Observe and document the condition of infusion sites and remove IV lines as directed by the registered nurse.
Assist physician or registered nurse with procedures and exams.
Follow CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrate proper use of PPE, perform hand washing, and enforce safety regulations.
Champion customer service by keeping patients informed, providing updates, and demonstrating caring and compassion.
Provide patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
Transport patients as directed by licensed personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
Licensed Paramedic (PARA) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
