Job Description
UW Health Kids is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer working at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI.
Position: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week, day shift (Monday – Friday 8‑ or 10‑hour shifts). Rotating evening/weekend call with 1‑hour response time.
Work Schedule Day/evening shift, 8‑10 hour shifts Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. On‑call rotation required. Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Qualifications
Required: Completion of a commission‑on‑accreditation‑of‑allied-health‑education‑programs (CHAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Ultrasound, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences field.
Work Experience
Preferred: Pediatric echocardiography experience.
Preferred: 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a laboratory performing echocardiography testing.
Licenses & Certifications
Required upon hire: Registered in Adult Echocardiography (AE).
Required upon hire: Basic Life Support/CPR.
Preferred: Pediatric Echocardiography (PE).
Preferred: Fetal Echocardiography (FE).
