Essential Functions ThriveKids Student Wellness is a community-based program at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. The role supports mental health therapy, including psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment plan development, psychotherapy, billable services, documentation, care coordination, clinical supervision of unlicensed staff, and telehealth delivery. The position supports students, staff, and families in schools and can be performed from home, hybrid, at school or at Children’s Hospital.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.

Licensed in the State of Louisiana (LCSW).

Participation in continuing education and other professional development as required.

Experience Requirements

At least 2 years of progressive experience in a clinical setting.

Hospital, school, or clinical experience with student crisis intervention and navigating community partnerships.

Experience providing services to children, adolescents, and families.

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Clinical knowledge of psychosocial issues in school‑aged, adolescent, and young adult populations.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional 2+ years of progressive clinical experience.

Experience in crisis intervention and community partnership navigation.

Licenses and Certifications LCSW
