A Day in the Life of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) You play a vital role in our clinic by monitoring residents’ conditions, following physician orders to administer medications and treatments, ensuring narcotic policies are followed, and monitoring for side effects. You report any changes in residents’ conditions, oversee nursing assistant‑registered (NAR) staff, complete documentation, admit and discharge residents, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Your warm, friendly demeanor helps build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues, making a meaningful difference in their lives.
Qualifications for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
LPN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
Current CPR certification
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
Desire to work with the elderly
Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing preferred but not required
Work Schedule Full‑time 12‑hour shifts.
