Rehab Supervisor - Outpatient Pediatrics

Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long‑term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
Summary:
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital rehabilitation center provides a kid‑friendly and family‑centered approach to rehabilitation. We provide one‑on‑one individualized care with highly experienced pediatric therapists that specialize in sensory integration, neuromotor development, feeding, apraxia and much more. We treat a wide range of ages and diagnoses in five outpatient locations in Broward & Palm Beach counties, support the inpatient acute care therapy needs of the hospital in addition to the six‑bed inpatient rehab unit and participate in several multi‑disciplinary clinics with our physicians.
Responsibilities:
Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing and patient assignments and levels.
Provide direction, orientation, training, coaching and mentoring to staff.
Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Assess quality of services delivered and facilitate staff development programs.
Ensure staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
Perform staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
Lead handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
Facilitate process improvement initiatives, improve outcomes and increase safety in alignment with departmental goals.

Accredited program (required).
BLS American Heart E‑Card (BLS AHA ECARD).

BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE).
BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC).
Occupational Therapy License (OT LICENSE) – State of Florida.
Physical Therapist License (PT LICENSE) – State of Florida.
Speech‑Language Pathology License (SA LICENSE) – State of Florida.

Required work experience: Two (2) years in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech‑Language Therapy or related program.
Additional education: Graduate of an accredited PT, OT, SLT or related program.
Florida state licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or Speech‑Language Pathologist.
