What You’ll Do Assist adults with physical and developmental disabilities in their daily lives, providing complete care for dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing and restroom needs, and supporting activities of daily living (ADLs).
Essential Functions
Drive clients to and from their home/facility using a personal vehicle.
Outline, teach and prepare daily routines based on Individual Program Plan, including mobility training and work and community skills.
Support the goals of each consumer by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment.
Facilitate social visits and recreational activities.
Assist with personal care such as grooming and bathroom needs.
Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup.
Report incidents and communicate daily with administrators.
Perform other duties assigned.
Education & Experience
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience: 3+ years of professional or personal experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g., Bipolar) with challenging behaviors preferred.
Valid in‑state driver’s license, over 21, current registration and insurance, and a driving record with ≤2 points in the last 3 years.
CPR and First Aid required; CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, and kneeling.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
