Athletic Trainer – IRP Department: Ambulatory Services | Sports Medicine Administration
Scope of Position This position provides outreach athletic training and rehabilitation services for clinical areas of the Sports Medicine Center, a multidisciplinary outpatient program serving athletes and physically active people of all abilities.
Primary Responsibilities
Outreach athletic training for high school, recreational, and club sports event coverage.
Participation in physical therapy treatment plans under direct supervision of a physical therapist.
Supervision of supportive clinical personnel (aides, students).
Teaching capacity and assistance with administrative procedures.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an approved educational program in athletic training and/or related health science field.
State of Ohio Athletic Trainer license and NATA certification.
Two to three years experience in an outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine facility preferred.
Previous experience working with athletic populations required.
