Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Associate or Bachelor's degree with coursework in sciences and anatomy
American Heart Association BLS
2 years of recent relevant experience
Key Responsibilities
Operate imaging equipment and review images to ensure quality and usefulness for diagnosis
Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, summarize findings to physicians and other health professionals, and alert them to urgent problems
Prepare patients for procedures and educate them throughout the ultrasound exam
Review patient medical history, record imaging results in patient records, and coordinate care with various departments within the facility
General Diagnostic Sonographer Contract Details
$2,200 - $2,366 per week
13-week contract with possibility to extend
