Overview
Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is hiring an LCSW to join our Home & Community Rehabilitation team in Austin, TX. This position provides specialized mental health counseling for individuals adjusting after catastrophic injury or illness. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations, assessing social, emotional and support needs of patients and families. Set measurable objectives in collaboration with the rehab team. Assist physicians and health team members in understanding social and emotional factors related to patient health problems. Educate/counsel patients and families in coping with social and emotional responses connected with illnesses. Participate in care coordination activities and act as a resource in identifying and resolving patient needs. Help patients and families access appropriate community resources to achieve measurable objectives. Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW). Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensure in the state of practice. Minimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or acute diagnosis. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certification required. Ability to lift 50 pounds; lifting up to 100 pounds as required following safety procedures. Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods. Benefits
