Key Responsibilities
Conduct oral health assessments, including reviewing oral health history and examining patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis.
Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
Apply fluoride and sealants to prevent cavities.
Educate patients about proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Take and develop dental X-rays.
Record and evaluate patients' dental histories and document treatment plans and progress.
Collaborate with dentists in planning treatment for patients, assisting in consultations, and making recommendations for care.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to infection‑control protocols and all health and safety regulations.
What Youll Need
Current NC State Dental Hygiene License.
Associates or Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and education.
Experience using Dentrix & DEXIS software (preferred).
Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills are a plus.
