Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a WA or compact RN license and recent LDRP experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a Birth Center within the Labor & Delivery specialty
Unit includes 20 beds: 12 L&D, 8 postpartum/antepartum, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR, and a 6-bed level II NICU
Night shift position with 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week
Weekend rotation is required every other weekend
No on-call responsibilities
Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred but not required
Teal scrubs are provided
Daily responsibilities include comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care, including newborn assessment and support
Must be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with frequent collaboration with nurse practitioners
Multilingual skills, especially in Russian or Spanish, are preferred
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
Active WA or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, including at least 1 year in LDRP
Certifications required: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
Demonstrated competency with cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, Pitocin administration, and APGAR scoring
Must be able to circulate C-sections and catch/receive babies
Strong postpartum care experience, from transition to discharge for both mother and baby
Scrub experience is preferred but not required
Breastfeeding knowledge required
