Moffitt Cancer Center’s Head and Neck Cancer Program offers individualized treatment for head and neck malignancies through a specialized team of surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, endocrinologists, radiologists and supportive care professionals. All clinicians exclusively treat head and neck cancers, enabling an integrative approach that allows patients to consult with numerous experts through a single referral. The Head & Neck Clinic cares for 50 patients daily and has been ranked #29 for Best Hospitals for Ear, Nose & Threat by US News & World Report.
Position Highlights
Deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with hospital guidelines, the nursing professional practice model, and the ANA code of ethics.
Embodies Moffitt Nursing’s vision, mission, and philosophy, committing to personalized, patient‑ and family‑centered care using Duffy’s quality caring model.
Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and manage care, documenting biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and educational needs in a timely, age‑appropriate manner.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience in ambulatory clinic or physician‑private nursing, medical‑surgical nursing, and head & neck patient care.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families using the nursing process, integrating patient‑ and family‑centered care principles.
Identify, document, and provide patient education based on individual learning needs.
Participate in evidence‑based improvement activities related to the area of practice.
Engage in professional development aligned with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.
Credentials And Qualifications
BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience, or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with one year of relevant experience.
FL RN License.
BLS Certification.
Additional Eligibility An applicant who is or will be seeking Florida licensure by endorsement must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports unless they have successfully appealed to have their name removed. Applicants are encouraged to conduct a NPDB Self‑Query before proceeding with an application.
