Location: Texas Health Alliance – 10864 Texas Health Trail, Fort Worth, Texas 76244.

Hours: Part Time (24 hours); Days 6:45 am – 7:15 pm.

14 Labor and Delivery Rooms

4 OB/ED bays – with OB Hospitalists 24/7

2 OR Suites

Average between 170‑175 deliveries per month

41‑bed Postpartum/Newborn Couple Care

Level III Maternal designation

Level III NICU

Here’s What You Need

High School Diploma or Equivalent and prior practice in surgical technology before September 1 2009 (required).

Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program, or completion of a military training program in surgical technology (required).

Compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required).

1 year current operating room experience preferred.

Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Certification as Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS‑C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program, or prior practice before September 1 2009, or military training completion.

Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire.

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually; 90 days required.

What You Will Do

Intra‑operatively demonstrate skills and behavior conducive to a desirable outcome.

Assist in peri-operative nursing care for patients ranging from infants to geriatrics.

Pre‑operatively assist the RN circulator in formulating a plan of care.

Coordinate patient care peri‑operatively, maintaining professional accountability.

Follow proper post‑operative procedures for instrument, supply, and equipment care; assist the RN circulator under supervision.

Assist in infection prevention to minimize risk of transfer and accidental contamination.

Assist in maintaining patient safety and preventing injury.

Contribute to continuous improvement of quality, service, and cost‑effectiveness.

Provide age‑specific care appropriate to each physiological stage, from very young to older adults.
