Clinical Nurse – OB/GYN Clinic – PRN at Barnes‑Jewish Hospital (St. Louis, MO).
Pay Range Base pay: $30.00/hr – $47.28/hr.
Additional Information About the Role
Day Shift
PRN Position
Minimum 2 shifts per 6 weeks; preference for at least 1 shift per week or biweekly.
Shifts are 8 hours; some may be 4‑hour half days.
Must be flexible with shift scheduling; may be incompatible with a full‑time role.
Preference for experience in OB, gynecology, labor and delivery, postpartum or antepartum care.

About the OB/GYN Clinic The clinic at Barnes‑Jewish Hospital offers comprehensive care for women at all stages of life, including routine gynecological exams, prenatal and postpartum care, high‑risk pregnancy management, fertility treatments, and minimally invasive surgery.
Responsibilities
Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration.
Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development.
Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
