CARE Team Outreach Coordinator
Posting Summary
Provide critical support for students experiencing emotional or material challenges that negatively impact their mental health, wellbeing and ability to achieve academic success and report to the Dean of Students. Provide appropriate mental health assessment, crisis management and response, triage to appropriate resources, effective referrals, follow‑up, tracking, and continuity of care between campus departments and community resources. Primarily supports students referred to the UVM CARE Team. Respond to and triage acute situations in collaboration and consultation with UVM Police Services and University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS) Staff.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Higher Education or related field and two to four years' related experience required. Clinical assessment skills, emergency/crisis response. Crisis/suicide intervention experience and critical incident debriefing capabilities required. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to fostering a collaborative equity and social justice focused environment.
Desirable Qualifications Ability to provide effective consultation regarding a variety of mental health issues. Experience working with college age issues in a residential setting, preferably within a university setting, or equivalent.
Anticipated Pay Range $52,000‑$62,000 for 11 months per year
Other Information This is a live‑on position which includes on‑call weekend and evening hours.
