Assistant Technology Buyer
Coordinate daily operations of the UVM Bookstore's TechStore. Research and order technology products, including computer systems, peripherals and accessories, and software systems for both campus departments and for resale from a variety of national and specialized wholesalers. Receive, price, and invoice products for sale, and routinely stock and merchandise the TechStore. Develop printed materials and assist with website catalog maintenance and social media posts. Assist customers on the sales floor and at Point-of-Sale with their technology needs, including the processing of departmental, scholarship, and financial aid charges. Provide exceptional customer service, and support UVM's commitment to Our Common Ground and environmental sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and three years related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of computer ICs and POS system software, MS Office, Adobe and ability to utilize social media.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice and training, fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
Must be able to work some weekends, evenings and occasional University holidays with occasional overtime.
Anticipated Pay Range $22.00–$24.00 per hour
Special Conditions
Probationary period may be required.
Occasional evening and/or weekend work required.
May result in overtime for non-exempt position.
This position is ineligible for telework due to essential functions.
Background Check required for this position.
