Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position requiring a compact or OH license, ICU background, and proficiency with Epic.
Responsibilities
Work in a Surgical ICU within an oncology-focused hospital setting
Treats adult patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, shock states, stroke, ARDS, and post-craniotomy
Handles advanced procedures such as external ventricular drain management, ICP monitoring, massive transfusion protocol, CRRT, and ventilator support
Rotating day and night shifts with 3x12 hour scheduling
Uses Epic for electronic medical records; prior experience with Epic is required
Primary responsibilities include the care of critically ill adult oncology and surgical patients
Must be skilled in managing ventilators, vasopressors, tracheostomies, and complex monitoring systems
Team-based environment with support from multi-disciplinary staff
This position requires attention to detail in managing advanced life support procedures and continuous critical assessments
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Epic EMR experience required
Oncology experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers will not be considered for this assignment
