Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with recent trauma experience and telemetry skills for critical care assignments requiring NH or compact licensure.
Responsibilities
Work in a 10-bed hospital ICU focused on critical care nursing
Care for critically unstable medical and surgical patients with advanced technological monitoring
Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity, isolation needs, and RN experience
Use of electric therapeutic beds, emergency call systems, cardiac monitoring, and critical care equipment
12-hour shifts available for days or nights, with three shifts per week
Every other weekend is required
Rotating holidays are part of the schedule
Responsible for rapid recognition and management of life-threatening complications in critically ill patients
Emphasis on total patient care and family support in the ICU environment
Team-oriented work environment focused on 24-hour critical care coverage
Requirements
Active NH or compact RN license with proof of state residency
Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience, including telemetry
Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last two years
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
CCRN certification preferred
No local candidates permitted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
