Cardiovascular Sonographer Resident Program – Final Semester Opportunity Join the dynamic UW Health Echo and Vascular Imaging Lab as a Cardiovascular Sonographer Resident in the final semester of your ultrasound program. Gain hands‑on experience across our clinic and hospital locations while supporting patients and providers.

Work Schedule

70% FTE, variable day shift, Monday – Friday

Rotation through East Madison Hospital, University Hospital, Arborgate Clinic, 1 S Park Street Clinic, Junction Road Clinic, and Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI

What You’ll Do

Perform cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound studies aligned with your level of training

Identify cardiac and vascular pathology to help physicians deliver accurate diagnoses

Maintain professionalism and sound judgment in fast‑paced clinical settings

Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to navigate technical and patient‑care challenges

Communicate effectively and collaborate with medical and hospital staff

Education

Enrollment in an accredited ultrasonography program and good standing required

Good standing defined as meeting GPA, credit completion, satisfactory pace, and compliance with university regulations

Experience

1 year combined academic and clinical ultrasound experience required

Certifications and Licenses

Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS or RDCS and RVT or RVS) within 90 days of hire

Basic Life Support/CPR certification upon hire
