Cardiovascular Sonographer Resident Program – Final Semester Opportunity Join UW Health as a Cardiovascular Sonographer Resident for the final semester of your ultrasound program. This part‑time (70% FTE) role will rotate through our clinic and hospital locations across Madison, WI.

Job Description Work Schedule : 70% FTE, variable day shift, Monday – Friday. Rotations include East Madison Hospital, University Hospital, Arborgate Clinic, 1 S Park Street Clinic, Junction Road Clinic, and Eastpark Medical Center.

Responsibilities

Perform cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound studies aligned with your level of training.

Identify cardiac and vascular pathology, helping physicians deliver accurate diagnoses.

Remain professional under pressure, using sound judgment in fast‑paced clinical settings.

Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to navigate technical and patient‑care challenges.

Build strong connections through effective communication and teamwork with medical and hospital staff.

Requirements

Education : Enrollment in an ultrasonography program and in good standing. Good standing is defined as GPA meeting the program’s definition, required credit completion, satisfactory pace toward degree completion, and compliance with all university regulations.

Work Experience : 1 year combined academic and clinical ultrasound experience.

Certifications :

Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS or RDCS and RVT or RVS) within 90 days.

Basic Life Support/CPR at time of hire.
