As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be working with the Large Mining Trucks and Off-Highway Truck Engine/Power Installation and Cooling Team, designing systems that integrate engines and cooling interfaces into machine platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply general job duties to a design scope involving a high level of integration across engine and cooling system components and subsystems, including air intake systems, cooling module structures, exhaust components, fuel lines, and related installations.
Perform component-level design work covering tube and hose routing, simple and complex fabricated steel structures, component mounting systems, and non-metallic components.
Upon project assignment, assess scope, identify requirements, and define necessary actions to support execution.
Develop and modify designs using Creo 3D modeling tools and manage the associated change notification process.
Collaborate with other system teams to resolve space claim and integration challenges.
Partner with operations teams to apply “Go, See, Act” principles in addressing factory-related issues.
Review field performance history and incorporate lessons learned into design improvements.
Coordinate updates to engineering drawings and engineering change notices.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and schedule implementation into production.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or related field with 0-2 years’ experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to deliver results while working multiple projects.
Ability to work within diverse skilled workforce.
Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of engineering processes, drawing standards and specifications.
Proficient in Creo (Pro/E) modeling and simulation tools (or equivalent). DESIRED SKILLS
Proficient in TeamCenter or equivalent software (release workflow tool).
Ability to perform Creo Simulate analysis (or equivalent).
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
Presentation experience – ability to create and present stakeholder updates.
Team player and detail oriented.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time efficiently.
