Amberwoods of Farmington is looking for an experienced Infection Preventionist and Wound Nurse to join our team!Along with ADON, responsible for Infection Prevention. Responsible for wound oversight, including weekly wound rounds and follow-up.
Amberwoods is a 130-bed newly renovated, progressive facility providing long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation and Memory Care services, located in Farmington, CT. Responsibilities
Oversee infection control practices and ensure regulatory compliance
Educate staff on infection prevention and control protocols
Assess and manage wounds, develop treatment plans, and monitor healing
Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to optimize resident care
Qualifications
Active LPN license (Required)
Infection Control Certification (CIC) and/or Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN) (Preferred)
Experience in long-term care facility (Preferred)
Experience in wounds and infection control (Required)
Strong communication and leadership skills
