American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a compact or NC RN license and ACLS/BLS certification.
Responsibilities
Position is in an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) serving patients of all ages
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Patient ratio is typically 1:2-3
Float requirements with a ratio of 1:6
Weekend and on-call hours may be required as needed
Uses Cerner EHR system
ICU RN will care for patients with a range of critical conditions including respiratory failure
Scrub color is the traveler's choice; no casual wear allowed
Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
COVID vaccine required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
Active NC or compact RN license required
Minimum of 1-2 years recent ICU experience
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIHSS (RQI certifications not accepted)
Experience with high acuity and respiratory failure preferred
Education and licensure meeting NC RN standards
Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the previous 12 months
Permanent address must be more than 60 miles from facility
Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere
