Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Trauma ICU position requiring a KS or compact license and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a 20-bed Neuro Trauma ICU within a hospital setting
Care for neuro and trauma ICU patients
Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
Every other weekend is required
EMR system used is Cerner
Responsibilities include care of neuro trauma patients in a critical care environment
Orientation includes completion of on-site crisis management training
Every other weekend coverage is expected
Local candidates are accepted at a reduced pay rate due to facility radius rules
COVID-19 vaccination is not required
Must provide two separate professional references and a copy of driver’s license for consideration
First-time travelers are accepted
Requirements
Active KS or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required from AHA
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Completion of CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De‑Escalation Course required prior to start
On-site CPI/MOAB High‑Risk training to be completed during orientation
Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment
Must provide a U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address
