Registered Nurse - Surgical Services - EPIC Administrator
Join Trinity Health as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Services department, serving as an EPIC Administrator.
Position Summary Provide daily management, technical direction and support for the Perioperative Department’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Responsibilities
Manage and direct all aspects of the EPIC system for perioperative staff.
Serve as the primary contact for all EHR questions, issues, and new initiatives.
Coordinate support staff and training for live sites and future sites.
Provide support for EHR issues, troubleshoot problems, and document resolutions.
Create and revise EHR record documentation as needed.
Assist in charge validation, data validation, record reconciliation, and resolving incomplete or incorrect records.
Participate in integration with other clinical information systems, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety projects.
Lead project management activities related to clinical informatics.
Interpret, apply, and promote consistent application of hospital policies and ensure compliance.
Mentor and supervise project members and staff.
Qualifications
Current Michigan Nursing License.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum two years of perioperative experience.
Understanding of surgical flow and charge processes.
