Responsibilities Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis, as needed. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college‑level courses, which may include distance‑learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Primarily face‑to‑face with the possibility of remote instruction. May include teaching at any PVCC location, including the Giuseppe Center in Greene County and correctional facilities in Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Dillwyn. May assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned; may be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration.
KSA's / Required Qualifications The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience.
Minimum Education Master’s in Geology or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Geology.
Additional Considerations Two years teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with online teaching. Operation of a State Vehicle. No supervision of employees. Required travel: None.
