Behavioral Health Therapist (BHT) PHP - Full Time, Days
Join Texas Health Resources as a Behavioral Health Therapist (BHT) for our Adult Inpatient Psych Unit (35 beds). Work full time Monday–Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm (may include evening groups ending at 8 pm). Responsive to multidisciplinary team, patient safety, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy and counseling.
Conduct unstructured individual, family, and group therapy as scheduled or ordered by physician to address goals identified on patient treatment plan.
Deliver didactic group therapy as scheduled and assigned.
Adapt treatment to reflect age‑specific, developmental, and cultural considerations.
Demonstrate competence with adolescent treatment and evidence‑based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work required.
Two years of healthcare‑related counseling or social work preferred.
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LPC‑A, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), LMFT‑A – required upon hire, or applicable equivalents.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training required upon hire and maintained annually (12 months).
Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention (ACPI) training required upon hire and maintained annually.
