Work hours: Full time (40 hours) Day Shift.

Master's Degree Counseling or Social Work required.
Experience
2 years of healthcare related Counseling or Social Work preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
LMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker upon hire required or
LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker upon hire required or
LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor upon hire required or
LPC‑I - Licensed Professional Counselor Intern upon hire required or
LMFT - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist upon hire required or
LMFT‑A - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate upon hire required and
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire required and
ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 6 months required or
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 days required and
ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 12 months required.
What You Will Do
Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy and counseling using modalities consistent with the facility philosophy.
Conduct unstructured individual, family, and group therapy as scheduled or ordered by physician to address goals identified on patient treatment plans.
Provide didactic group therapy as scheduled and assigned.
Adapt treatment to reflect age‑specific, developmental, and cultural considerations.
Demonstrate competence with adolescent treatment.
Demonstrate competency with cognitive behavioral therapy.
Deliver effective individual, family, and group therapy in a timely manner meeting baseline competency elements.
Document therapies provided clearly, concisely, and reflective of required clinical expertise.
Include patient goals for treatment and progress toward those goals in documentation.
Plan, deliver, and document group sessions in a timely and effective manner meeting patient goals.
Show knowledge of CBT and other appropriate brief therapies and interventions.
Show knowledge of age‑specific and cultural‑specific dynamics.
Participate in patient assessment and psychosocial evaluation to determine functioning and plan discharge disposition; conduct PASR screenings as needed.
Maintain focus on patient safety at all levels of care.
Assess substance use and history to plan appropriate level of care, interventions, and referrals.
Ensure all baseline competency elements are completed within required time frame.
Document psychosocial assessments and reassessments as indicated.
Integrate families and significant others into evaluation with patient consent.
Document patient strengths.
Maintain professional accountability and enhance social work skills.
Serve as patient advocate and comply with personnel policies (Attendance, Dress Code, Licensure Act, etc.).
Recognize and communicate ethical and legal concerns through established channels.
Provide and accept constructive feedback calmly and respectfully.
Maintain licensure and complete required continuing education (CPI, HIPAA, BLS/CPR, intake training) annually.
Protect patient rights and preferences, promoting desired outcomes.
Act ethically and supervise appropriately.
Participate as a treatment team member and coordinate care with other disciplines.
Build professional relationships with peers, customers, and supervisors; offer assistance, preceptorship, and supervision to staff and students.
Maintain rapport and confidence of physicians.
Adapt to workload changes and shift assignments to meet program needs.
Maintain productivity and positive communication.
Ensure consistent and coordinated care across disciplines.
Provide mentorship to peers and students; oversee assigned students and monitor performance.
Confirm physicians express confidence and rapport with staff.
Provide discharge planning consistent with patient functioning and biopsychosocial needs; assist families with transition planning.
Offer resources based on patient needs and collaborate on discharge plans with the treatment team and physicians.
Coordinate referrals and transfers with providers, community agencies, payors, and staff.
Obtain discharge plan orders and document transitions appropriately.
Complete transition planning demonstrating baseline competency.
Document transition plans and resources.
Make appropriate referrals/appointments based on patient needs.
Show knowledge of community resources and communicate with the treatment team.
Assist in developing and documenting comprehensive treatment plans; identify realistic, individualized goals.
Plan care to meet treatment goals; produce documentation that supports the plan and meets regulatory requirements.
Coordinate care with the team and patients; orient patients to programs and unit guidelines.
Document individualized treatment plan goals, initial assessment, and reviews; update goals as patient progresses.
Use goal‑directed interventions and maintain accurate, legible documentation.
Attend and participate in assigned Treatment Team meetings.
Deliver cost‑effective quality services, continuously improve program quality, maintain accurate billing and accounting, and adhere to regulations and accreditation standards.
Complete process‑improvement projects when requested.
Meet key performance indicators and initiatives; document attendance or review minutes of all interdisciplinary staff and required meetings.
Utilize resources appropriately and meet expectations of patients, families, EAPs, psychiatrists, PCPs, external case managers, referral sources, and other stakeholders.
