Residential Specialist
to join our
Adult Women's Residential Treatment Program
in
Arlington, VA .
This is a Part-Time Position.
This position is in a structured, therapeutic setting that supports adults in early recovery. As a Residential Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and substance-free environment during the overnight hours.
Schedule Part-Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 3pm-11:30pm
Compensation
$20–$25/hour , based on experience, education, and relevant credentials
Additional pay opportunities available for candidates with advanced degrees or behavioral health certifications

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring the therapeutic milieu and resident activities
Providing a calm and professional response to client crises or emergencies
Supporting clients in adhering to daily routines and program expectations
Offering guidance in
life skills
and facilitating or assisting with
12-Step education
Modeling healthy boundaries and maintaining professionalism within the therapeutic setting
Requirements Education/Credentials
High School diploma or equivalent
Certification as a substance abuse counselor (CSAC-A, CAC, CSAC) required within 6 months of employment.
Experience
Minimum one (1) year experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of addiction treatment and of 12 Step recovery process preferred
Certified in First Aid and CPR, Medication Management a plus
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
