UPMC Chautauqua Units
4D : 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit that manages stable pediatric admissions and provides post-operative adult care, wound care including wound vacs, orthopedic, bariatric, urological and other general surgeries. Fast-paced environment with a dedicated nursing staff. ($10,000 Sign On Bonus for Graduate Nurses)
5D : 30-bed telemetry unit caring for adults 18+. Provides cardiac monitoring, anti-arrhythmic medications, electrolyte replacement, hemodynamic medication administration, acute medical management and withdrawal symptom care. ($15,000 Sign On Bonus for Graduate Nurses)
Behavioral Health : Two inpatient mental health units – a 20-bed adult unit and a 10-bed adolescent unit. Focus on stabilization of mental health issues, discharge to community, interdisciplinary treatment team involvement. ($10,000 Sign On Bonus for Graduate Nurses)
Emergency Department : 28-bed state‑of‑the‑art ED with mainly private rooms, serving 100 patients/day across all ages and presentations, including BH services. Fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Resource Pool : Dynamic team that trains staff across various units and departments, rotating through different specialties to gain broad experience in a fast‑paced setting.
What can you Expect as a Professional Staff Nurse Provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. Requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership. Establishes relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients and families to achieve desired outcomes throughout the continuum of care. Sets the standard for level and quality of nursing care, possessing authority and accountability for its provision at all times.

UPMC approved national certification preferred.
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state of the facility or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
PR required based on AHA standards, including both didactic and skills demonstration within 30 days of hire.
ACLS required within 1 year of hire date.
NIH required within 6 months of hire date.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
NIH Stroke Scale (NIH).
Registered Nurse (RN).
Act 33 with renewal.
Act 34 with renewal.
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
