Location: Newport News, VA • Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 4:00 pm – 12:30 am • Annual Salary: $37,058 • Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Account, Paid Time Off, Employee Discounts, and Virginia Retirement System. You will support pregnant and postpartum women facing substance use disorders, advocate for individuals experiencing mental health challenges, and promote recovery, employment, education, and community integration. Your role will foster the well‑being of women and their families in a stable residential environment, applying a holistic care approach. Responsibilities
Support and advocate for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Promote recovery, employment, education, and community integration. Provide peer support and guidance to pregnant and postpartum women facing substance use disorders. Foster well‑being of women and families in a residential setting. Qualifications
Registered Peer Recovery Specialist with the VA Board of Counseling (RPRS), completion of DBHDS 72‑hour Peer Recovery Specialist Training and at least one year of Peer Recovery Specialist experience. Valid State Driver's License. Ability to pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
