Annual Salary:
$51,253.
Location:
Onsite in the cities of Hampton and Newport News.
Join a full‑time Mobile Crisis Therapist I with the Traumatic Event Response Team. This role provides immediate support and interventions to individuals experiencing traumatic events in their communities.
Responsibilities
Conduct brief assessments at the site of incidents for individuals and community partners serving children and adults.
Guide timely referrals to clinical services, ensuring necessary support is arranged efficiently.
Respond to crises after hours and on weekends, directly impacting the lives of those in distress.
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while working under pressure.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in a human services‑related field.
Minimum one year of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
Strong assessment and intervention skills.
Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
Proficiency in software/tools required for documentation and referral processes.
Must pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening, and employment reference checks.
