We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to provide outpatient‑style rehabilitation care within a California correctional healthcare setting.
Job title: Physical Therapist
Location: Wasco, CA
⏰ Schedule: Wednesday & Thursday only Shift: 7am - 5:30pm
Duration: 6 months (Renewable)
Payrate: $75-$78/hour
What You'll Do
Deliver care within scope of licensure and CDCR policy, consistent with evidence‑based practices.
Provide Physical Therapy evaluations and treatment on an as‑needed, pre‑scheduled basis.
Treat patients/youth upon physician referral or direct access (with documented diagnosis).
Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans; communicate plans to patients and staff.
Complete progress notes and evaluations using CDCR‑approved documentation.
Be available for telephone consultations during duty hours.
Maintain daily charting; delinquent records (over 10 days) may lead to termination.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 12 months of relevant experience within the last 3 years.
Valid California Physical Therapy license (must be current and maintained).
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Must have current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross with AED).
Must comply with 8 CCR 5199 respiratory protection standards (N95/PAPR clearance and training).
