Complex General Surgery Medical Surgical RN
Job Summary and Responsibilities:

Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift.
Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation.
Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy and imaging.
Unit also cares for med‑surg telemetry patients (nursing surgical floor, not OR).
Specializes in abdominal surgery including bariatrics.
Approximately 30 beds.
RN to patient ratio 1:5.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire.
At least one (1) year of RN experience.
Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
