Position Overview
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to support capital (CAPEX) projects at a chemical manufacturing site in the Fort Worth area. This role is responsible for preparing, leading, executing, and delivering
best‑in‑class capital projects
that add value to the business.
This is a
long‑term contract position . No relocation or
per‑dem
is offered.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will act as an individual contributor Project Manager, owning the full project lifecycle while coordinating with third‑party engineering and construction firms.
Responsibilities include:
Manage the Fort Worth site CAPEX portfolio, including execution and forecasting
Prepare, lead, execute, and deliver capital projects safely within defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
Serve as the project owner, accountable for the CAPEX portion of assigned investments
Select, lead, and coordinate multifunctional project teams
Apply and adhere to the company’s project management methodology and corporate directives
Facilitate and contribute during Initiation and Study Phases (FEL-1 and FEL-2), ensuring business and site endorsement of engineering packages
Ensure completeness and quality of deliverables at each stage-gate
Develop and submit Appropriation Requests (ARs) and obtain required approvals
Maintain strong project safety standards, including process safety and safe execution of design and construction activities
Manage scope changes, project risks, and contingencies throughout execution

Project management is performed as an

Engineering and construction are executed by
third‑party firms
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in
Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering , or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years of project management experience
Hands‑on experience managing capital projects up to approximately $1M
Experience within chemical plants or industrial manufacturing environments
Ability to develop project estimates appropriate to each stage‑gate
Proficiency in SAP (Project Management module preferred)
Strong skills in:
Gantt chart scheduling with critical path identification
Project risk and contingency analysis
Scope change management
Budgeting, forecasting, and CAPEX controls
Strong leadership presence and ability to influence without direct authority
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written English)
Structured, analytical, and results‑oriented approach
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive engineering environment
Strong problem‑solving, negotiation, and decision‑making skills
Open to innovation, change, and flexible work environments
Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to drive high performance
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel 5–100 days annually
Solid understanding of common chemical processes, equipment, and instrumentation
