R-089726**Job Title**Assistant Professor of Voice**Agency**West Texas A&M University**Department**Music**Proposed Minimum Salary**Commensurate**Job Location**Canyon, Texas**Job Type**Faculty**Job Description****NOTICE -** **All posted positions are subject to budget approval.****Job Summary:**Applied Music: Voice.**Work Performed:**•Teaching Voice at the undergraduate and graduate levels.•Actively recruit voice students.•Meet school, college and university standards in instructional responsibilities, intellectual and creative contributions, and professional service.•Teach related courses as needed to meet faculty load requirements.•Serve as requested on school, college, and university committees and in leadership positions in community and professional organizations.**Necessary Qualifications**•Doctorate level in Voice performance. •Professional-level competency as vocalist.•Evidence of successful recruiting and teaching.•The ability to creatively engage students in the studio.•Active participation in professional organizations.**Preferred Qualifications:**•At least two years of previous college-level teaching are preferred.•A low voice (Baritone, Bass) is preferred. **Applicant Instructions:**We require the following:•Letter of interest or cover letter•Curriculum Vitae•Unofficial Transcripts (Official transcripts are expected to be submitted promptly by the successful candidate)•Three professional references•Include a single PDF listing of links to videos featuring teaching samples (i.e. live or virtual masterclasses and/or private lessons) & links to videos featuring solo performances.Please attach all documents in the attachment box at the bottom of the “My Experience” page before continuing through the application.
