HSE Specialist
for a contract opportunity with our client in
Palmetto, Florida .
Overview The role involves supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of HSE programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and safeguarding employee well-being.
Responsibilities
Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with company and regulatory requirements
Conduct and/or support risk assessments, incident investigations, safety audits, and compliance inspections
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of HSE training materials
Maintain accurate records and reports in alignment with internal and external HSE requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
Manage and update documentation via Microsoft SharePoint and other digital platforms
Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting, analysis, and drafting presentations
Monitor performance metrics and support the implementation of corrective/preventive actions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field and/or 3+ years of relevant experience in an HSE role, preferably in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments
Requirements
Familiarization with HSE regulatory frameworks and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Experience using Microsoft SharePoint for document control and collaboration
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across teams
Travel may be required
